Our constitution

The Britain Palestine Friendship and Twinning Network (BPFTN) is a membership network of groups. Each group is constituted in its own way and has ultimate responsibility for ensure that its legal and financial affairs are in order.

The BPFTN is constituted in a way that allows both formal and informal groups that share a common commitment to Human Rights, Justice and building links with the people and communities of Palestine. None of the items within the Constitution of the BPFTN should conflict with any legally constituted member. Members are encouraged to seek legal advice and guidance if they are seeking to legally constitute themselves and organise their finance and membership.

The BPFTN will, where possible, offer support and direction to groups looking to become formally constituted. This help may be in the form of helping provide model constitutions, connecting groups with information and advice or sharing experiences of members who went through the same process.
